Protecting nature and our environment is close to our hearts. That's why we focus on concrete measures – from sustainable energy (Minergie-P building standard, wood chip heating, 100% renewable electricity) to e-mobility and local sourcing. Our commitment has been recognised with ibex fairstay Silver certification and Swisstainable Level III status.

The leading Swiss sustainability label, ibex fairstay, supports hospitality businesses by evaluating five key aspects: environmental friendliness, social responsibility, economic sustainability, regional integration, and sustainable management. We are proud to have achieved the “ibex fairstay silver” certification.
Swisstainable is Switzerland’s sustainability program that provides transparency for guests and unites over 2,500 tourism businesses to promote environmentally friendly and conscious travel. With the distinction "Swisstainable Level III – Leading," we have qualified for the highest level of sustainability recognition.

Building
The building is a minergie-p construction with triple glazing. We heat with wood chips from regional wood and our electricity comes from 100% renewable energy sources.
Our solar power system on the roof produces electricity for the hotel operation and is used, for example, for the underground car park. The surplus electricity is fed into the grid.
E charging station
For guests arriving with their electric car, we offer two chargeable charging stations with universal connections for every type of car directly in front of the hotel. This way you can charge the battery of your electric car quickly and effortlessly.
Local purchase
If you have breakfast with us, you can enjoy fine jams and crisp apples - these are just a few examples of the products that we obtain directly from the farmers in Spreitenbach.
Chicken sponsorship
Frieda and Chantal are our sponsored hens at the Obstgarten Spreitenbach. Through this hen sponsorship, we support animal-friendly and regional agriculture. The hens are kept in a species-appropriate way and provide fresh eggs, which we also use in our hotel whenever available. This helps us keep transport routes short and set a small but meaningful example for responsible enjoyment.
Equality
It fills us with pride that we can boast a strong quota of women and that this extends through every level of the hierarchy. The associated equal pay is a matter of course for us.
Cosmetics
All cosmetic products are awarded the "Nordic Swan" and "EU Ecolabel" sustainability certificates. The empty packaging is collected and returned to the manufacturer. The flacons are made of 100% recycled plastic and were produced in a resource-saving way.
Promotion Sport & Culture
Exercise is healthy and offers young people in particular a valuable opportunity to be active and successful in sports together. We are happy to support the youth department of FC Spreitenbach.
